- Staff Pharmacist
- you will play a vital role in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services.
Schedule:
- This per diem, nonexempt position will provide coverage on an as-needed basis up to 19 hours/week. There are no regularly scheduled hours for this position.
Location:
- Aurora Behavioral Health in Tempe, AZ.
Pharmacy:
Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, and utilizes CPOE, Pyxis and Bestcare.Primary Responsibilities:
- + Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure appropriateness, safety, and accuracy + Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring + Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize medication regimens for hospitalized patients + Ensure the secure storage, tracking, and maintenance of controlled substances + Monitor patient outcomes and medication safety, identifying and preventing adverse drug events + Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and interns, ensuring efficient and compliant workflow + Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance, including Joint Commission, state, and federal requirements You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:
- + Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy (PharmD preferred) + Current Arizona pharmacist license in good standing + Proven effective communications skills; verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
- + Experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting + Experience with Pyxis machines Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
