Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A unique opportunity is available for a clinical pharmacist to provide specialized emergency department care at a tribal clinic and hospital in Vail, Arizona. This role offers a true decentralized pharmacist experience, supporting emergency medicine providers during night shifts in a dynamic clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver clinical pharmacy services in the Emergency Department during night shifts Participate actively in medication management and emergency response initiatives Collaborate closely with clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes Obtain and maintain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications as part of credentialing requirements Utilize the RPMS electronic health record system to document and track patient care
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist (Arizona pharmacist license not required due to tribal facility status) Clinical experience, preferably including hospital or residency training Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude Willingness to work at a remote tribal healthcare facility and embrace a decentralized role Commitment to ongoing certification acquisition (BLS/ACLS/PALS)
Schedule and Location:
Night shifts, 7 days on followed by 7 days off 10-hour shifts dedicated to emergency department coverage Based in the scenic and vibrant region of Arizona's tribal territories, offering an exceptional work-life balance This contract position is ideal for pharmacists seeking to expand their clinical expertise in an emergency setting while living in a beautiful and culturally rich environment.
