Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A well-established independent pharmacy near Northridge, CA is seeking a dedicated part-time pharmacist to join their team. This opportunity offers a balance of weekend and weekday hours, ideal for pharmacists who value flexibility while contributing to quality patient care in a supportive environment.
Schedule:
Every other weekend 2-3 weekdays
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense and verify prescriptions following federal and state regulations, ensuring accuracy with dosage, strength, allergies, and contraindications Provide clinical and therapeutic guidance to physicians, nurses, and patients as needed Respond professionally and promptly to inquiries from client facilities and healthcare providers Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency and accuracy Assist with billing and documentation verification Manage receipt and verification of medications and supplies from wholesalers Organize, maintain, and audit controlled substance records in compliance with regulatory standards Verify and maintain Emergency Kits, ensuring product accuracy and expiration monitoring Support pharmacy safety standards, procedures, and participate in inspections, surveys, and audits Perform additional duties as assigned to maintain pharmacy operations
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Current and good standing California Pharmacist License Experience in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy and multi-dose prescription filling preferred Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and best practices Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team This direct hire role provides the opportunity to contribute to an independent pharmacy that values precision, patient care, and professional growth.
