The pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing, reviewing medication orders, providing clinical support, and maintaining compliance with pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements. This is a flexible per diem position ideal for a pharmacist who is comfortable working independently and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, interactions, and dosing. Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and pharmacy policies. Provide clinical drug information and recommendations to healthcare professionals. Review patient medication profiles and identify potential medication-related problems. Oversee medication preparation, including IV medications when applicable. Maintain accurate medication records and documentation. Ensure compliance with medication safety, storage, controlled substance, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals. Provide pharmacist coverage on an as-needed/per diem basis. Qualifications Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice. PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy. Previous pharmacist experience required; hospital or acute-care experience preferred. Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication safety, and pharmacy regulations. Experience with pharmacy computer systems and electronic medical records preferred. IV/sterile compounding experience preferred, if applicable. Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Schedule Per Diem / PRN — shifts are scheduled based on pharmacy staffing needs and pharmacist availability.
