Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist In Charge to lead pharmacy operations in a busy retail setting in Elk Grove, CA. This contract position offers an immediate start for approximately 8-13 weeks, supporting a pharmacy that serves diverse patient needs with excellence and accuracy.

10:00 AM - 6:30
PM Saturday:
9:00 AM - 5:30
PM Closed Sundays Key Responsibilities:
Oversee full cycle prescription processing and dispensing, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients. Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow. Responsible for opening and closing the pharmacy facility. Complete all required Pharmacist In Charge paperwork and documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience, with strong preference for demonstrated prior PIC experience. Must hold an active California Pharmacist license. Immunization certification and current BLS (Basic Life Support) card required. Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system is essential. Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage team and operational responsibilities. This is an ideal role for pharmacists ready to step into a leadership role within a retail environment, ensuring compliance and patient safety, while managing daily pharmacy operations.
