Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A small hospital located in Willits, CA is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to provide expert pharmacy services in a close-knit healthcare environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to apply your pharmacy knowledge and contribute to patient care in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately and safely in compliance with hospital protocols and regulations Review and verify prescriptions and medication orders for appropriateness and accuracy Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmacotherapy and patient outcomes Counsel patients and healthcare staff regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions Maintain accurate records and documentation for all pharmacy activities Monitor inventory and manage medication storage and handling in adherence to standards
Desired Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist with current credentials and ability to practice in California Experience working as a hospital pharmacist or in a clinical setting preferred Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and medication management practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support a multidisciplinary team Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure Commitment to patient safety and quality care
