Duties Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapies and identify potential drug interactions Provide expert counseling on medication use, side effects, and health management strategies to patients of diverse backgrounds, including pediatrics and LTC (Long-Term Care) populations Manage pharmacy inventory efficiently, including compounding medications following USP 797 standards and maintaining optimal stock levels Ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance by implementing policies related to HIPAA, clinical confidentiality, and medical management protocols Utilize pharmacy software systems (PIS, EMR, EHR) for prescription processing, medication tracking, and documentation of patient interactions Lead pharmacy teams by managing daily operations, supervising staff, and fostering a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient service Administer immunizations and participate in pain management initiatives as part of comprehensive patient care programs Maintain aseptic techniques during sterile compounding procedures and ensure adherence to safety protocols for drug preparation Stay current with drug regulation updates, healthcare compliance standards, and evolving clinical pharmacy practices to optimize patient outcomes Experience Proven experience practicing as a licensed pharmacist in community or clinical settings with a strong background in pharmacy operations Critical care experience with an emphasis on patient assessment and medical management preferred Completion of a pharmacy residency program demonstrating advanced clinical skills and specialized knowledge in areas such as pediatrics or LTC pharmacy experience Demonstrated ability managing pharmacy teams effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency Hands-on experience with pharmacy information systems (PIS), EMR systems, and EHR platforms for seamless workflow integration Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, drug regulation policies, USP 797 standards for sterile compounding, and healthcare compliance regulations Basic Life Support (BLS) certification along with familiarity with immunization procedures and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance requirements Strong communication skills for client interaction, medication counseling, and interdisciplinary collaboration within healthcare teams Join us in making a meaningful difference through innovative pharmaceutical care!
