Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare system serving a vast diverse community seeks a skilled Clinical Pharmacist with chemotherapy experience to support inpatient and outpatient oncology services. This role involves managing complex chemo regimens at a large county hospital with over 1,000 beds, recognized as a major healthcare provider in the region.

Long Beach, CA Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week

Contract (with potential for temp-to-perm placement)
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver expert clinical pharmacy services for chemotherapy patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety Participate in chemotherapy order verification, preparation oversight, and monitoring for adverse effects Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards Support continuous quality improvement initiatives in oncology pharmacy
Desired Qualifications:
Pharmacy licensure and eligibility to work in California PGY1 residency preferred or approximately two years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience Proven chemotherapy/oncology pharmacy experience required Strong clinical judgment and ability to pass a rigorous competency exam as part of onboarding Commitment to patient-centered care and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment This opportunity offers a pathway to permanent unionized employment within the county health system, which provides excellent benefits, pension, and career advancement opportunities.
