This role is essential due to an emergency situation requiring pharmacist oversight on the night shift in compliance with state mandates. Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety Oversee and support pharmacy technicians in daily operations Provide clinical consultation to nurses and physicians to optimize patient care Manage pharmacokinetics and review therapeutic drug levels Utilize Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets for medication distribution

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Active pharmacist license valid in the state of California Open to new graduates and retail pharmacists who meet compliance requirements for immediate start Ability to work independently during night hours Familiarity with Pyxis or similar automated dispensing systems preferred Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration This role supports a 100-licensed bed facility with an average daily census of 50 patients, offering important clinical oversight and medication management during critical night hours.
