Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Travel This travel opportunity places a staff pharmacist in a 250-bed hospital located in Redding, CA. The role offers flexibility with scheduling, allowing you to work either four 10-hour shifts per week or a 7-on/7-off rotation covering days or afternoons. This position can serve as a temporary assignment with potential to convert to a permanent role. The need arises due to an internal pharmacist transfer, creating an excellent chance to support the department of pharmacy and integrate into the healthcare team. Primary responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians and nurses, and managing pharmacokinetics services. Experience with Cerner and Omnicell systems is essential for efficient workflow and communication within the hospital environment. Ideal candidates possess a valid California pharmacist license and have an interest in travel assignments in northern California. A positive attitude and flexibility regarding compensation are important, as pay rates may be on the lower side. Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) residency training is highly preferred and demonstrates advanced clinical capabilities.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current California pharmacist license Experience in hospital pharmacy operations Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records and Omnicell automation systems Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare providers Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules PGY1 residency completion preferred
