Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This position offers an excellent opportunity for a licensed pharmacist to work a night shift in a low-volume, supportive environment. The assignment is a temporary contract lasting approximately eight weeks, with a 7-on, 7-off night schedule consisting of 10-hour shifts.
Location:
Standish, CA (Night shift also available in Susanville, CA)
Schedule/Hours:
7 nights on, 7 nights off 10-hour shifts ASAP start
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Provide patient consultation and medication information to all customers Maintain knowledge of applicable pharmacy rules, regulations, and guidelines Receive medication orders from wholesalers and manage inventory controls Perform sterile compounding and medication reconstitution as required Conduct unit dosing and monitor medication stock to prevent expiration Perform regular audits and billing tasks as assigned Supervise pharmacy technician staff and oversee daily pharmacy operations Utilize Order Entry System (Cerner) with training provided
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid pharmacist license in the state Experience with medication order verification and patient counseling Working knowledge of pharmacy regulations and standards Familiarity with sterile compounding and medication reconstitution Ability to supervise pharmacy technician staff effectively Willingness to work night shifts and adhere to the 7-on, 7-off schedule Prior experience with Cerner preferred but not required (training provided) This assignment offers a very manageable workload in a facility with 25 licensed beds and an average daily census of 10.
