Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately while adhering to all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to optimize medication therapy and support medical management plans. Prepare and compound medications following USP 797 standards, ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained at all times. Manage pharmacy inventory efficiently, including stock replenishment, expiration tracking, and controlled substance accountability. Provide clinical services such as immunizations, pain management consultations, and medication administration guidance. Utilize pharmacy software systems (PIS, EMR/EHR) for prescription processing, documentation, and patient record updates. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA, pharmaceutical regulatory policies, and pharmacy operations protocols. Collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care initiatives across diverse populations including pediatrics and long-term care settings. Lead pharmacy team members during night shifts by managing workflows, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring high-quality patient service. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while delivering compassionate customer service and clear client communication. Qualifications Valid pharmacist license with current practicing credentials in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Demonstrated experience in clinical pharmacy practice with critical care or hospital settings preferred. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, drug regulation, and medical terminology. Proven ability to manage pharmacy teams effectively during night shifts in a fast-paced environment. Experience with compounding medications following USP 797 guidelines and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with pharmacy information systems (PIS), EMR/EHR systems, and inventory management software. Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), immunizations certification, and healthcare compliance training are highly desirable. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient service and education. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to protect patient information.
