Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 100-bed hospital in South Lake Tahoe, CA, is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide essential inpatient pharmacy services. This role requires full-time availability, working a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week. Experience with EPIC and Pyxis systems will be valuable in supporting efficient medication management and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage inpatient medication distribution and dispensing Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy policies and procedures Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy Monitor medication inventory and perform necessary documentation in EPIC and Pyxis Provide clinical support and education to nursing and medical staff as needed
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid California Pharmacist license Approximately one year of pharmacy experience, preferably in a hospital setting Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis medication management systems Ability to work four 10-hour shifts per week, demonstrating flexibility and reliability
