Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 25-bed critical access hospital in Clear Lake, CA, offering a 13-week assignment with an ASAP start. This contract role features day shifts working four 10-hour days per week, with scheduling flexibility available through the Director of Pharmacy to accommodate block scheduling preferences.
Responsibilities:
Perform order verification ensuring accurate and timely processing of medication orders Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow and compliance with protocols Consult with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient medication regimens Apply pharmacokinetic principles in patient care and dosing adjustments Utilize EPIC and Omnicell systems for electronic health records and medication dispensing
Qualifications:
Valid California pharmacist license Prior hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in a critical access or similar setting Ability to commit to full-time hours throughout the assignment Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
