Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract An interim Pharmacist in Charge position is available for an immediate start in the Sacramento area, covering a period of 8-13 weeks. This role requires a licensed California pharmacist ready to oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with all regulatory responsibilities.

Monday to
Friday:
10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Saturday:
9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Sunday:
Closed Key Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle prescription processing and dispensing. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to resolve any issues. Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow. Handle pharmacy opening and closing procedures. Assume the duties of Pharmacist in Charge, including completing all necessary paperwork and regulatory documentation.
Qualifications:
Active California pharmacist license. Minimum of 2 years of recent retail pharmacy experience. Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge is highly preferred. Immunization certification and current Basic Life Support (BLS) card. Proficient in using McKesson Enterprise (ERx) pharmacy system. This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership position within a busy retail pharmacy setting. Candidates with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team are encouraged to apply.
