Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available on a contract basis in Glenwood Springs, CO, beginning ASAP with an assignment projected through mid-August 2026. This role supports a facility transitioning its electronic medical records from Meditech to Epic, so Epic experience is essential, and Meditech exposure is advantageous.
Schedule and Shift Details:
40 hours per week Rotating day/evening shifts starting at either 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday Rotating weekends with shifts from 7:00 AM to 12:00
PM Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and dispense medication orders accurately and safely per physician instructions Maintain medication stock in patient care areas ensuring availability and compliance Interpret and transcribe medication orders into computerized profiles Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and proper dosing Review culture and sensitivity data to guide appropriate antibiotic use Detect and report adverse drug reactions promptly Provide clinical consultation and suggest cost-effective therapeutic alternatives Document clinical activities thoroughly and participate in quality improvement initiatives Serve as a member of the
Code Response Team Qualifications:
Active and valid Colorado Pharmacist License in good standing Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association Required seasonal flu vaccine (October 1 - April 1), no exemptions accepted Must have Epic system experience; Meditech training is a plus This opportunity offers a dynamic role in a collaborative healthcare environment with a focus on delivering safe and effective patient-centered care.
