Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life. The Neonatal ICU Clinical Pharmacist ensures optimal drug therapy for patients in their clinical specialty area and provides educational activities to the pharmacy staff and other caregivers to insure that patients receive safe and cost effective drug therapy. While this role is primarily based out of The Hospital of Central Connecticut you will have the opportunity to have a system wide impact through this assignments responsibilities that include but are not limited to: Providing comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), including pharmacotherapy management and medication optimization for critically ill neonatal patients Collaborating closely with neonatologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient-specific treatment plans Participating in system-wide clinical meetings and initiatives to support medication management and standardization across multiple NICU and nursery sites Serves as a clinical resource for the healthcare system for neonatal pharmacotherapy, including dosing, safety, and evidence-based practice guidance Contributes to the development, review, and implementation of system-wide neonatal medication protocols, policies, and order sets Supports antimicrobial stewardship, nutrition support, and other specialized neonatal care programs Provides education and training to pharmacy staff, residents, and other healthcare professionals on neonatal pharmacotherapy topics Monitors and evaluates patient outcomes to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality pharmaceutical care Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy Pharm.

D. preferred Experience Completion of an ASHP approved pharmacy residency program Or, three (3) years practicing pharmacist experience. Licensure Licensed as a registered Pharmacist in Connecticut or eligible to receive licensure within 45 days of hire date We take great care of careers.
