Position Purpose Under general supervision, the pharmacist monitors drug therapy to optimize patient outcome, provides direct care to patients of all ages, consults and provides information to physicians, nurses and other health care workers, performs procedures to assure the quality of service, supervises technicians as they assist the pharmacist and dispenses compounds medications ordered by the physician. What you will do Ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals through their proper storage, handling, evaluation, preparation, compounding, labeling and dispensing Maintain proper records, documentation and provide complete communication as appropriate Follow department guidelines with regard to clinical interventions and provides drug information as required and/or requested Supervise pharmacy technicians and maintain efficient workflow of the area they are working in Minimum Qualifications B.S. degree in Pharmacy, PharmD preferred Connecticut pharmacist license Hospital experience and/or Residency preferred Position Highlights and Benefits Full time 40hrs salaried, plus shift and weekend differentials Excellent benefits starting day 1!
