$136,000•200,000/year Position Overview BayHealth Hospital•Sussex Campus is seeking an experienced Oncology Clinical Pharmacist to join its oncology care team. This position provides specialized clinical pharmacy services to cancer patients across inpatient and outpatient settings and works closely with oncologists, physicians, nurse practitioners, oncology fellows, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The pharmacist will serve as an oncology subject matter expert, helping optimize treatment plans, supportive care, medication safety, and evidence-based therapy. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with oncologists to optimize chemotherapy and supportive care treatment plans. Review oncology care plans in the Electronic Health Record for accuracy and compliance with current guidelines. Round with Oncology Fellows, physicians, and advanced practice providers to optimize patient therapy. Evaluate medication-related problems using clinical presentation, medical history, and laboratory data. Provide patient-specific medication education for oral oncolytics and IV chemotherapy. Serve as a subject matter expert for oncology-related drug information questions. Provide education and staff development programs for pharmacy, nursing, oncology, and other healthcare professionals. Precept pharmacy residents and students. Participate in Oncology Service Line meetings and quality improvement initiatives. Promote safe, effective, rational, and cost-effective medication therapy. Support medication cost avoidance and savings initiatives within the Oncology Service Line. Perform other duties within the scope of the position. Requirements Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Active Pharmacist License . Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) certification required. Minimum 3 years of hospital experience with clinical pharmacy training and oncology experience. PGY-1 residency or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience, or PGY-2 Oncology residency/equivalent oncology experience . Strong knowledge of oncology pharmacotherapy and evidence-based treatment guidelines. Excellent clinical, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications PGY-2 ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency in a related specialty. PGY-1 ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency plus 3+ years of related experience and BPS Oncology certification. 5+ years of related oncology pharmacy experience with BPS Oncology certification.
