$130K- $200K Annually Position Summary The Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to oncology patients throughout the continuum of cancer treatment. This role collaborates closely with physicians, oncology fellows, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication therapy management, treatment accuracy, and supportive care. The specialist also serves as a clinical resource and subject matter expert for Oncology Fellows during their training, supporting their professional development in oncology pharmacy practice. Key Responsibilities Provide direct clinical pharmacy services to oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive care treatments. Review and validate oncology treatment plans for appropriateness, dosing accuracy, drug interactions, and compliance with evidence-based guidelines. Optimize supportive care strategies including management of nausea/vomiting, pain, infections, hematologic toxicities, and other treatment-related adverse effects. Participate in multidisciplinary oncology rounds and collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized patient care plans. Monitor patient outcomes and recommend therapeutic interventions to improve safety, efficacy, and quality of care. Educate patients and caregivers regarding oncology medications, treatment expectations, side effect management, and adherence. Serve as a clinical mentor and subject matter expert for Oncology Fellows and pharmacy trainees. Contribute to the development and implementation of oncology pharmacy policies, protocols, and clinical initiatives. Maintain compliance with institutional, regulatory, and accreditation standards. Participate in quality improvement, research, and continuing education activities related to oncology pharmacy practice. Qualifications Education Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required. Completion of Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Residency or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience (minimum 3 years of clinical pharmacy practice), OR Completion of Postgraduate Year Two (PGY2) Residency in Oncology Pharmacy or equivalent oncology experience (minimum 3 years of oncology pharmacy practice).Credentials Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Delaware. Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) preferred/required. Experience Minimum of three (3) years of hospital pharmacy experience. Completion of clinical pharmacy training required. Minimum of three (3) years of oncology pharmacy training and/or oncology practice experience. CA02
