Job Description

About the Role Our Tampa pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Staff Pharmacist to join our team. In this role, you will evaluate and verify prescription orders, supervise dispensing and fulfillment workflows, counsel patients and healthcare providers, and ensure all operations adhere to state and federal pharmacy regulations. Key Responsibilities
    Prescription Verification & Dispensing:
    Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy, proper dosage, drug interactions, and clinical appropriateness before final dispensing.
      Team Supervision:
      Oversee pharmacy technicians in data entry, insurance adjudication, and medication packaging/fulfillment to ensure smooth daily workflow.
        Clinical Consultation:
        Provide clear, professional drug information and consultation to prescribers, patients, caregivers, and long-term care staff.
          Regulatory & Quality Control:
          Maintain strict compliance with Florida Board of Pharmacy laws, DEA guidelines, and pharmacy policy to minimize errors and protect patient safety.
            Inventory & Claims Support:
            Assist with inventory management, controlled substance tracking, and third-party billing/claim resolution when necessary. Qualifications
            • Active, unrestricted Pharmacist (RPh or PharmD) license in the State of Florida.
            • Previous experience in retail, mail-order, or Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy settings preferred.
            • Solid working knowledge of pharmacy management software, insurance adjudication, and state/federal pharmacy regulations.
            • Exceptional attention to detail, clinical judgment, and interpersonal communication skills.

            Pay:
            $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
