About the Role Our Tampa pharmacy is seeking an experienced, proactive, and leadership-oriented Supervising Pharmacist to oversee daily clinical, dispensing, and operational activities. In this role, you will lead our pharmacy team, ensure strict regulatory compliance, optimize workflow efficiency across data entry, billing, and fulfillment, and maintain the highest standard of patient care. Key Responsibilities
Pharmacy Operations & Supervision:
Lead and direct daily pharmacy activities, managing pharmacists, technicians, and support staff to ensure accurate, timely prescription processing and dispensing.
Regulatory Compliance:
Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) ensuring strict adherence to Florida Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA guidelines, USP standards, and state/federal laws.
Quality Assurance & Safety:
Maintain quality control protocols, conduct regular workflow audits, prevent medication errors, and oversee proper drug storage and inventory management.
Staff Leadership & Development:
Hire, train, schedule, and mentor technicians and pharmacy staff; foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
Clinical & Billing Oversight:
Oversee complex prescription reviews, drug utilization evaluations (DUE), prescriber consultations, and support resolution of third-party billing and adjudication escalations. Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Pharmacist (RPh or PharmD) license in the State of Florida.
- Minimum 2-3 years of pharmacy leadership, supervisory, or Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Florida pharmacy law, DEA regulations, third-party billing, and inventory control.
- Experience in retail, specialty, or Long-Term Care (LTC) environments is a strong plus.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.

Pay:
$135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
