Within Critical Cardiovascular Care, the Clinical Pharmacist Cardiovascular Care will practice at a 400-bed, advanced tertiary medical center in southeastern Florida. This sophisticated Critical Care and Cardiac environment manages complex, high-acuity patients and provides the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist Critical Cardiac Services with opportunities to optimize pharmacotherapy, support emergency response, guide anticoagulation and vasoactive medication management, and advance safe transitions of care.
Reporting to pharmacy leadership and working closely with cardiovascular and critical care leaders, the Critical Cardiovascular Pharmacist will serve as a trusted medication expert for physicians, advanced practice providers, friendly nurses, pharmacy colleagues, residents, and a diverse team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include participating in interdisciplinary rounds, evaluating complex medication regimens, monitoring therapeutic outcomes, supporting formulary and protocol development, providing staff and patient education, precepting learners, and leading medication-use and quality initiatives. The Clinical Pharmacist Critical Care will receive support from experienced pharmacy professionals, engaged clinical leaders, and collaborative nursing teams that value expertise, communication, and professional autonomy.
