Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A pharmacy professional is needed to serve as the sole pharmacist at a retail
HIV/AIDS
specialty pharmacy in Fort Meade, FL. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work independently in a focused, patient-centered environment with a manageable daily prescription volume of 20-30. The pharmacist will receive comprehensive training alongside the current PIC for two weeks before transitioning to full responsibility at the location.
Responsibilities:
Manage all pharmacy operations independently, including dispensing, patient counseling, and documentation Provide exceptional patient care and support with a focus on
HIV/AIDS
medication management Maintain clear and timely communication with patients and healthcare providers Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and maintain a high level of accuracy Participate in ongoing training and utilize provided support to enhance clinical skills Work Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM Adhere to on-site policies, including strict no call-out (no RTO) during the contract period
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Florida pharmacist license Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience Documented experience with
HIV/AIDS
medications—critical for consideration Experience with QS1 pharmacy software highly preferred Strong communication skills with patients and providers Reliable, punctual, and committed with a positive attitude toward patient care and teamwork
Contract Duration:
Approximately 16 weeks
Start Date:
August 24, with 2 weeks of training alongside the current pharmacist in Orlando Candidates must be able to work independently without onsite pharmacy technician support and demonstrate the ability to manage workload efficiently.
