•$67.01 / hour Summary The ambulatory staff pharmacist is responsible optimizing patient care outcomes through interdisciplinary medication management. This is primarily accomplished through interpreting prescriptions and the preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of medications used in a community pharmacy. The pharmacist is expected to sustain an environment for the safe, rational, effective, and efficient use of medications prescribed to patients of all age groups. Pharmacists are responsible for the direct supervision of pharmacy technicians. All job duties shall be performed in accordance with all applicable Florida and Federal laws, regulatory agency standards, professional practice standards, and policies and procedures of the health system/pharmacy department
Requirements Education:
PharmD required or BS Pharmacy degree with equivalent and acceptable experience from a College of Pharmacy accredited by American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).
Experience:
Five years of professionally responsible pharmacist experience required for Bachelors degree holders. One year of recent ambulatory experience as a pharmacist or pharmacy intern for PharmD candidates.
Certification:
BLS (American Heart Association/Basic Life Support) required (must be obtained within first 90 days of hire).
License:
State of Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Registered Pharmacist Licensure.
Other:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, data entry skills, analytical and math skills required.
