Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem This per diem pharmacist role offers a meaningful opportunity to support a specialized patient population in a respectful, empathetic environment. Operating Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., this position requires sensitivity and professionalism when working with individuals affected by
HIV/AIDS.
Previous per diem pharmacists have successfully transitioned into full-time roles, highlighting potential for long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately and safely, with a focus on
HIV/AIDS
specialty pharmacy Foster trust and provide empathetic support to patients managing infectious diseases Maintain high standards of patient care and professional communication Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes Demonstrate pharmacy intuition by proactively identifying and addressing workflow needs Commit to punctual, consistent attendance and dependable shift coverage
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years of retail or specialty pharmacy experience with
HIV/AIDS
dispensing required; candidates must explicitly highlight this on their resume Proficiency using QS1 pharmacy software is essential Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and independently when necessary A positive, professional attitude with sensitivity to the unique challenges faced by the
HIV/AIDS
community
