Category Pharmacy•Pharmacist Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for two inpatient pharmacists to support a leading children's hospital in Hollywood, FL, located conveniently between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. This contract position begins on August 25th and runs for approximately 13 weeks, offering distinct shift options to fit different schedules.
Schedule/Hours:
Day Shift:
12:30 PM•9:00 PM, rotating weekends, five 8-hour shifts per week
Overnight Shift:
11:00 PM•7:15 AM, rotating weekends, five 8-hour shifts per week Responsibilities include managing typical inpatient pharmacy duties with a specific focus on pediatric dosing, ensuring safe and effective medication therapy for young patients. The role requires proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current and valid Florida pharmacist license in good standing Experience in pediatric pharmacy, particularly with inpatient or NICU settings, strongly preferred—candidates should ensure their resumes reflect this expertise Strong understanding of medication dosing and safety protocols for pediatric patients Familiarity with inpatient pharmacy workflows and electronic medical records (EMR) in a hospital environment This opportunity suits pharmacists seeking to apply their pediatric skills in a dynamic hospital setting.
