Job Summary The Pharmacist is a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and regulatory-compliant verification of prescriptions processed during the shift. This position focuses on the second stage of prescription verification (PV2), providing a final review before fulfillment and shipment to patients. The PV2 Pharmacist must work efficiently in a high-volume production environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to operational excellence to support the pharmacy's 24/7 fulfillment model. This position offers the flexibility to transition into a senior management roles based on the employee's performance and capabilities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Prescription Verification:
perform PV2 verification of prescriptions to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with legal requirementsRegulatory Compliance:
Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, including DEA and FDA guidelines, while maintaining accurate recordsQuality Assurance:
Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in prescriptions to ensure medication safety and accuracy before fulfillmentCollaboration:
Work closely with pharmacy technicians, PV1 pharmacists, and fulfillment staff to ensure smooth operations during the shiftMetrics Tracking:
Monitor and maintain productivity metrics to align with pharmacy goals and efficiency benchmarksOperational Support:
Assist in troubleshooting any issues related to prescription processing, verification systems, or workflow interruptions during the midnight shiftCommunication:
Provide end-of-shift updates to the incoming team to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of operationsQualifications Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree requiredLicensure:
Must hold an active and unrestricted pharmacist license in Florida. Additional state licenses are a plusExperience:

Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and verification tools Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional Skills and Competencies Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure Strong analytical skills to evaluate workflow efficiency and resolve operational challenges Work Environment This role operates in a fast-paced mail order pharmacy setting. It requires long periods of standing, working at computer stations, and occasionally lifting or moving items up to 25 lbs. The shift operates in a controlled environment designed to optimize productivity while ensuring regulatory compliance.Cognitive and Physical Demands Cognitive:

Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for long periods. May require manual handling of medications and equipment as needed. Schedule Rotating shifts between 4:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.
