Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented Part -Time Pharmacist to join our Independent Pharmacy healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant dispensing of medications, providing expert pharmaceutical care, and supporting patient health outcomes. Your expertise in retail or clinical pharmacy operations, medication management, certified to give immunization, compounding experience (preferred, not required) will directly impact patient outcomes and safety. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient service within a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately in accordance with physician prescriptions and regulatory standards. Adhering to all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations. Conduct comprehensive patient medication management assessments to determine appropriate pharmacotherapy plans and help manage Sync programs. Determine appropriate drug therapy and assess drug interactions. Ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance by maintaining proper documentation, drug regulation adherence, and participating in audits. Manage pharmacy inventory, including stock control, medication compounding, following state and federal regulations and adherence for proper storage. Provide counseling and medication questions on prescriptions, drug interactions, side effects, over the counter item, nutrient and natural supplements. Utilize Pioneer our Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS) for accurate documentation and medication tracking. Requirements Valid Florida pharmacy pharmacist license in good standing and certified immunizer in Florida. As well as Basic life support (BLS) certification required. Extensive knowledge of retail and or independent pharmacy operations. Proficiency in drug regulation compliance, compounding, aseptic technique, and medication safety protocols. Lead pharmacy team by managing daily operations, providing excellent patient service in a safe and respectable manner. Verify medication packaging thru Rapid Pak system. Ability to perform patient care activities such as patient assessment, pain management (including acute pain), medication reconciliation, and patient service delivery. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and educating patients on medication use. Maintaining HIPPA and healthcare compliance.
