Job Description
Bennett Interiors, Home Philosophie
- Award winning Luxury Design Firm and Showroom located in the Design District of Southwest Florida.
- Assist the Principal Designer with residential interior design projects from concept through completion.
- Develop furniture, lighting, finishes, fabrics, materials, accessories, and decorative selections.
- Assist with space planning, furniture layouts, and overall design development.
- Create and maintain polished design presentations, mood boards, specifications, and client-facing materials.
- Source furnishings, materials, finishes, lighting, artwork, accessories, and specialty items.
- Participate in client meetings, showroom appointments, site visits, installations, and final styling.
- Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, manufacturers, showrooms, contractors, trades, and workrooms.
- Coordinate closely with administration and procurement regarding selections, specifications, ordering, lead times, deliveries, installations, and outstanding items.
- Maintain highly organized project documentation, specifications, selections, schedules, samples, correspondence, and follow-up.
- Manage multiple projects, deadlines, client requests, vendor communications, and priorities simultaneously.
- Anticipate next steps, proactively follow up, and ensure important details do not fall through the cracks.
- Gain hands-on exposure to construction, renovations, project management, and coordination with contractors and trades.
- Assist with reviewing site conditions, construction progress, dimensions, finishes, and project details as needed.
- Assist with styling, accessorizing, and final project presentation.
- Develop an understanding of project budgets, procurement, profitability, client service, and the operational side of the design business.
- Gradually assume greater responsibility for client communication, design selections, project coordination, and independent decision-making as experience and readiness grow. Qualifications
- Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Previous professional interior design experience preferred.
- Strong design sensibility with exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of furniture, fabrics, finishes, lighting, materials, and spatial planning.
- Experience or strong interest in residential renovations, new construction, and project management.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, communications, and follow-up simultaneously.
- Highly proactive and accountable, with the ability to anticipate next steps and ensure details do not fall through the cracks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional and consistent follow-through.
- Professional and confident when interacting with clients, vendors, contractors, and trades.
- Strong computer and technology skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software, platforms, and digital systems. (Experience in Design Files, Design Manager or other design softwares is helpful)
- Proficiency with relevant design, presentation, documentation, and project-management software.
- Comfortable utilizing evolving technologies and AI-supported tools to improve organization, communication, design development, and efficiency.
- Demonstrates initiative in staying current with advancements in technology, design software, and industry tools.
- Comfortable working collaboratively while also taking ownership and initiative.
- Eagerness to learn, accept mentorship, and grow into greater project and client responsibility. Schedule This is a full-time, in-person position based primarily in our Naples showroom. Typical showroom hours Monday through Friday, approximately 10:00 AM-5:30 PM, with 1 Saturday during summer months 12:00
- 3:00 and 1 during seasonal months 11:00
- 4:00. Flexibility occasionally required for client meetings, site visits, installations, and project needs, must have great transportation. Compensation We anticipate a base salary generally in the $55,000
- 65,000 range, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the position, with flexibility for the right candidate.
