Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Join a specialized post-acute hospital pharmacy serving a 40-bed facility with an average daily census of 35 patients. This full-time pharmacist position requires holding the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role, including Consultant of Record (COR) responsibilities, ensuring expert leadership and delivery of pharmacy services.

Pharmacy hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm Weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage required
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the sole full-time pharmacist and PIC, leading pharmacy operations and maintaining compliance Provide direct patient care and oversight of pharmacy services in a post-acute specialty hospital setting Manage pharmacist staffing and coordinate with a pharmacy technician Supervise and support remote order entry service after hours and on weekends, serving as on-call backup Oversee medication preparation and distribution, utilizing Wellsky pharmacy information system and Pyxis automation Perform IV compounding within a segregated compounding area (non-chemotherapy) Desired qualifications: Active Florida Pharmacist license and Florida Consultant Pharmacist license (preferred) Hospital pharmacy experience, ideally within a specialty or post-acute care environment Proficiency with Wellsky system and Pyxis automation preferred Strong knowledge of IV sterile compounding procedures in compliance with regulatory standards Ability to start quickly and assume PIC responsibilities immediately This is a unique opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to take a leadership role in a focused hospital setting, combining patient care, operational oversight, and on-call responsibilities.
