This vital role involves precise compounding of IV medications, adherence to strict aseptic techniques, and ensuring all pharmaceutical regulations are met. Duties Prepare sterile compounded medications, including IV infusions and aseptic solutions, following established protocols and pharmaceutical calculations. Maintain strict sterile techniques and aseptic procedures to prevent contamination during medication preparation. Operate pharmacy software systems for accurate data entry, medication tracking, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical regulatory standards, including state and federal pharmacy laws and drug regulation guidelines. Assist with medication intake, labeling, packaging, and documentation to ensure accuracy and safety. Support hospital pharmacy operations by maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations. Conduct routine quality checks on compounded medications and document all procedures meticulously for audit purposes. Qualifications Previous experience in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy, critical care, or hospital pharmacy environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, and pharmacological medical terminology. Hands-on experience with IV compounding, sterile IV admixture procedures, and aseptic technique is essential. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and data entry processes to ensure accurate recordkeeping. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to support patient safety initiatives. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, drug regulation standards, and state healthcare laws. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow complex instructions precisely while maintaining high-quality standards in medication preparation.
