Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital in Sarasota, FL, seeks a Florida-licensed pharmacist to serve as the full-time Pharmacist in Charge (PIC). Responsibilities:

Hold full accountability as the Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing all pharmacy functions and compliance with state and federal regulations. Manage medication distribution, review prescriptions, and ensure accuracy and safety of pharmaceutical care. Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate records and support inventory management. Participate in policy development and quality assurance initiatives.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Active Florida pharmacist license is required. Previous experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or Pharmacy Manager preferred. Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulatory requirements. Ability to work independently and handle all pharmacy operations in a small hospital setting. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
