Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Direct Hire Oversee comprehensive pharmacy operations focused on home-based intravenous therapies in a leadership role designed for experienced pharmacy managers. This position, based in Lithonia, GA, offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team in delivering safe and effective infusion services within a direct hire setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily pharmacy operations, including sterile compounding, IV admixture preparation, dispensing, and inventory control to ensure efficiency and safety. Lead recruitment, training, and orientation programs for pharmacy staff, emphasizing long-term success through comprehensive education and development. Maintain strict compliance with State Boards of Pharmacy regulations and USP standards governing sterile compounding and infusion management. Provide clinical oversight by collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize infusion therapy protocols and patient outcomes. Engage in business activities including branch budgeting, workflow improvements, and performance measurement initiatives. Participate in the pharmacist on-call rotation and handle administrative on-call duties as required.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution. Active, unrestricted pharmacist license for the state of Georgia. A minimum of 5-7 years combined clinical and operational experience within home infusion or acute care pharmacy settings. Demonstrated expertise in infusion management, sterile compounding, and regulatory accreditation processes. Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team training and staff development. Preferred experience with CPR+ and CareTend pharmacy systems.
