Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support hospital operations during the night shift in Marietta, GA. This position offers a 13-week contract with potential for extension, starting as soon as possible, and involves working a 7-on/7-off schedule from 9 PM to 7 AM. Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, managing pharmacokinetics, and consulting with nurses and physicians to ensure optimal patient care. The role requires effective decision-making and a sound understanding of hospital pharmacy operations, especially when functioning as the sole pharmacist on duty alongside pharmacy technicians during night hours. Ideal candidates must hold an active Georgia pharmacist license and possess a minimum of one year of recent inpatient experience. Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems is highly preferred, as these technologies will be integral to daily tasks.
