Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Staff Pharmacist, LTC (Long-Term Care) Pharmacist, or Floater Pharmacist, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and medication management across diverse clinical settings. Duties Dispense medications accurately while adhering to all state and federal pharmacy laws, including USP 797 standards for sterile compounding. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to optimize medication therapy plans, including pediatrics, pain management, and acute care cases. Manage pharmacy operations efficiently by overseeing inventory management, drug regulation compliance, and pharmacy software systems such as Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and EMR systems. Collaborate with healthcare providers on medical management decisions, medication administration protocols, and clinical confidentiality policies to ensure safe patient care. Provide immunizations and perform IV infusions or insertions using aseptic techniques while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations. Lead pharmacy teams or act as a floater across multiple locations, ensuring seamless service delivery and staff coordination. Educate patients on medication use, side effects, and health management strategies while fostering excellent client communication and customer service. Experience Proven experience practicing as a licensed pharmacist in community, hospital, or LTC pharmacy environments with a focus on clinical pharmacy services. Critical care experience or hospital experience is highly valued; familiarity with acute care settings enhances your ability to manage complex cases effectively. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, drug regulation policies, and healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA. Experience with pharmacy technician supervision or managing pharmacy teams is preferred; strong leadership skills are a plus. Hands-on experience with pharmacy software systems including
PIS, EMR/EHR
systems; proficiency in inventory management and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance is essential. Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), immunizations certification, or specialized training in sterile compounding (USP 797) are highly desirable. A background in managing diverse patient populations—including pediatrics—and familiarity with medical terminology enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive patient care.
