Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A specialty pharmacy in Pocahontas, IA is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join their team for a contract assignment lasting 13+ weeks. This role focuses on long-term care pharmacy duties, providing vital medication management and support to patients in specialized care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage medication therapy for long-term care patients Ensure accuracy and compliance in dispensing medications Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to regulatory standards Participate in patient education and counseling, as needed
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Iowa Pharmacist License or Iowa Temporary License Experience in long-term care pharmacy preferred Immunization Certification is preferred CPR Certification is desired but not mandatory Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
Schedule and Location:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Some weekend coverage required Position based in Pocahontas, IA within a specialized pharmacy environment This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a focused specialty pharmacy setting, supporting patient care over an extended assignment.
