Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled pharmacist to support specialty pharmacy services focused on long-term care. This contract opportunity offers a chance to apply your expertise in a dynamic healthcare setting, delivering critical pharmaceutical care to patients who rely on specialized medication management.
Location & Setting:
Position based in Pocahontas, IA Specialty Pharmacy environment
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Occasional weekends required
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive pharmacist services specifically tailored to long-term care patients Accurately dispense medications while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety protocols Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient medication therapies Manage and monitor patient profiles to prevent adverse drug interactions Support clinical interventions and patient education initiatives
Qualifications:
Valid Iowa pharmacist license or temporary Iowa license required Immunization certification preferred, enhancing patient care capabilities CPR certification preferred, ensuring preparedness for emergency situations Strong communication skills and attention to detail for effective patient and team interactions This contract role spans a minimum of 13 weeks, offering stability and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in specialized pharmacy care.
