Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to support pharmacy operations at a community hospital with approximately 150 beds. This contract assignment is based in Genesee, ID, with the hospital located nearby in Lewiston, ID. The ideal candidate will have hospital experience, hold or be willing to quickly obtain an Idaho pharmacist license, and demonstrate a proactive, can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and quality Consult with physicians and other healthcare providers on medication management Utilize pharmacokinetics principles to optimize patient therapy
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Idaho pharmacist license or ability/willingness to obtain promptly Experience working as a pharmacist in a hospital setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety Adaptability to variable schedules and hospital environments
Schedule & Duration:
Approximately 13-week contract 8-hour shifts covering variable days and afternoons preferred Potential flexibility for 7 days on/7 days off with 10-hour shifts if desired This pharmacist role offers a valuable chance to contribute clinical expertise in a supportive healthcare setting while experiencing the natural beauty of northern Idaho.
