Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to join a 40-bed rehabilitation hospital in the Boise area. This contract role offers a chance to work in a dynamic hospital environment where your expertise will directly impact patient care and recovery. Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, supervising pharmacy technicians, and consulting regularly with nurses and physicians to optimize pharmacotherapy. You will also engage in pharmacokinetic evaluations to ensure precise medication management for patients. The hospital uses Cerner as its IT platform, so familiarity or the ability to quickly adapt to this system is beneficial. The position is full-time with Monday through Friday day shifts, supporting a consistent and balanced schedule. The assignment begins ASAP and is expected to extend beyond 13 weeks, offering stability and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully over time. Ideal candidates hold an active Idaho pharmacist license or have the ability to obtain one promptly. Previous hospital experience is preferred, ensuring readiness to handle the fast-paced nature of inpatient care in a rehabilitation setting.
Qualifications:
Active Idaho Pharmacist License or eligible for rapid licensure Experience in a hospital pharmacy environment Knowledge of medication order verification and supervision practices Ability to collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team Familiarity with Cerner IT systems is a plus
