Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem This position offers a per diem opportunity in a home infusion pharmacy specializing in IV and infusion services for patients with acute and chronic medical needs. The role focuses on delivering safe, effective medication therapy in a cleanroom environment, supporting patients outside of a traditional hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and process physician orders accurately and efficiently Perform sterile compounding and support cleanroom operations in compliance with USP standards Ensure safe dispensing of medications and infusion-related supplies Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records in accordance with federal and state regulations Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize therapy outcomes Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff during shifts Manage assigned patient caseloads and provide pharmacist coverage as needed Receive comprehensive training to become confident with pharmacy systems and workflow
Qualifications:
Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience required; 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred Experience with infusion therapy and/or sterile compounding highly desirable Solid knowledge of USP sterile compounding standards Strong communication, multitasking, time management, and critical thinking skills
