Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A pharmacist opportunity is available at a small, 25-bed hospital in a rural Illinois setting. This role focuses on delivering expert pharmaceutical care within a hospital environment. The position is a 13-week contract with the possibility of extension, working primarily Monday through Friday with potential weekend rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

Dispense and monitor medication within the hospital setting ensuring patient safety Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy for patients Implement and oversee medication protocols including nutritional support and IV therapy Utilize pharmacokinetics principles to tailor medication plans and dosing adjustments

Qualifications and Experience:

Illinois pharmacist license required Minimum of 1 year recent hospital pharmacy experience Additional training or certification in nutritional support, IV therapy, and pharmacokinetics is preferred Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and standards

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM Weekend rotations may be required
