Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist with hospital inpatient experience in the Cicero, IL area, starting 6/1 for a 13-week assignment. This role supports inpatient pharmacy services, requiring at least one year of recent inpatient experience and familiarity with the EPIC electronic medical records system.
Responsibilities:
Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties, including prescription verification and medication dispensing Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and accuracy Conduct intravenous (IV) medication checks in accordance with hospital protocols Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide safe and effective medication therapy Work rotating weekends on day shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois pharmacist license Minimum of one year recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience Proficient in
EPIC EMR
system Strong communication and supervisory skills Ability to provide references from inpatient pharmacy roles
Location:
Cicero, Illinois (RUSH Oak Park facility, west of downtown Chicago) This is a contract role with a shift schedule of days, including rotating weekends. Immediate availability is preferred, with attention to submitting all required documentation including an updated resume, skills checklist, two inpatient references, and Illinois license copy.
