Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist role in an inpatient hospital setting, offering a 13-week contract with a potential extension. The position requires working rotating first and second shifts, including weekends, providing dynamic and varied daily experiences.
Location:
Cicero, IL Schedule/Hours:
Rotating first shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Rotating second shift: 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM Rotating weekends
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care in an inpatient hospital environment. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use. Utilize the Cerner computer system for medication order processing and documentation. Monitor patient drug therapies and provide clinical recommendations. Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois pharmacy license required. Strong inpatient clinical pharmacy experience preferred. Experience with Cerner electronic health records system is a plus. Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends efficiently. Strong communication and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
