Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract This pharmacy staffing opportunity in Cicero, IL is ideal for experienced pharmacists seeking a 6-month contract role supporting warehouse operations. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., providing consistent weekday hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty items Manage inventory levels by ordering supplies and minimizing waste or expired products Ensure medications meet USP standards and comply with state and federal regulations Verify medication orders prior to preparation and shipment Supervise pharmacy technicians handling inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping Coordinate with sterile compounding staff to maintain medication supply for patient orders Review controlled substance inventory and maintain accurate documentation Conduct cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits Collaborate with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to facilitate timely medication delivery Utilize pharmacy software and inventory systems to track medications and supplies
Desired Qualifications:
Active and clear Illinois pharmacist license Some knowledge of IV medication preparation and handling Pharmacy warehouse or inventory management experience is a plus Strong organizational and supervisory skills Familiarity with USP guidelines and pharmacy inventory software

Cicero, IL This contract position offers a compelling opportunity to apply your pharmacy expertise in a dynamic warehouse setting. If you hold an active IL pharmacist license and are comfortable overseeing medication logistics and inventory, apply now to be considered for this 6-month contract role.
