Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist role within an inpatient hospital environment, offering a 13-week contract with the possibility of extension. The position involves rotating shifts between first and second shifts, providing a dynamic and engaging clinical setting.
Schedule:
Rotating 1st shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Rotating 2nd shift: 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM Rotating weekends required
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide expert pharmaceutical care and clinical support to patients in an inpatient hospital setting. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure appropriate medication use and patient safety. Utilize Cerner pharmacy computer systems to manage medication orders and maintain accurate records. Participate in clinical rounds and recommend therapies based on patient needs.
Desired Qualifications:
Proven experience in inpatient pharmacy clinical settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy software is a significant advantage. Must hold an active Illinois Pharmacy License. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
