Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract Provide expertise as a Staff Pharmacist in a retail pharmacy setting for an 8-week assignment based in Galena, Illinois. This role involves supporting daily pharmacy operations with a focus on safe medication dispensing and excellent patient care. The position offers a structured Monday to Friday schedule and may transition to a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately under manager supervision, ensuring safety and efficiency. Counsel patients on medication use, protocols, and potential side effects. Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints according to established policies. Maintain accurate stock levels and controlled substance records and inventories. Resolve patient-related issues and clarify insurance and third-party coverage details.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active and clear pharmacist license in the state of Illinois. Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience. Experience with Pioneer software is highly preferred but not mandatory. This role is supported by an experienced pharmacy technician proficient in Pioneer software, promoting a smooth workflow and patient support. The assignment could serve as a pathway to permanent placement once a relocation or permanent candidate is identified.
