Lena, IL Job Summary Serenity Estates of Lena, a skilled nursing facility, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving delicious and nutritious meals to our residents. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals for residents, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and sanitation Order and inventory food and supplies, ensuring that we are always stocked and ready to serve Collaborate with our dietary Manager and team to plan and execute special events and functions Provide excellent customer service to residents, family members, and visitors Report to the Dietary Manager Requirements Prefer experience in a commercial kitchen or skilled nursing facility but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) or willingness to obtain one.
