Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract To Hire A critical leadership opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge at a retail pharmacy setting. This contract-to-hire role offers the chance to lead pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations in a vibrant community.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily pharmacy functions to maintain compliance with state and federal laws. Supervise and mentor pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, fostering a collaborative work environment. Review and verify prescriptions with precision to guarantee patient safety. Manage medication inventory, including controlled substances, and maintain accurate pharmacy records. Develop and enforce pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance measures. Partner with healthcare providers to resolve medication-related issues and enhance patient outcomes. Ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant workflow throughout the pharmacy.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active pharmacist license in Illinois is required. Previous experience in a management or Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) role is preferred. Familiarity with McKesson Enterprise software is advantageous. Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and guide staff.
Location:
This position is situated in Prophetstown, Illinois, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, focusing on the 1st shift.
Additional Details:
The initial assignment is a 13-week contract to hire. Candidates willing to travel or relocate will be considered to support staffing needs during the hiring process.
