Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist - Retail Job Type Contract This opportunity is for an experienced Indiana-licensed pharmacist to provide essential coverage at a community retail pharmacy. The role focuses on ensuring accurate dispensing, safety, and compliance while supporting patient care in a hospital-affiliated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately fill and verify technician-prepared prescriptions, ensuring quality and patient safety Maintain strict security protocols for pharmacy inventory and controlled substances Enter patient information and medication orders with precision and attention to detail Collaborate with pharmacy team to support smooth daily operations and patient service
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Indiana pharmacist license required Proven retail pharmacy experience preferred, with familiarity using PioneerRx order entry systems a plus Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and controlled substance handling Strong organizational and communication skills for efficient teamwork and patient interactions
Schedule and Location:
Located in Rensselaer, Indiana, with coverage based in a hospital community pharmacy setting 4-5 days per week, 32 to 40 total hours Weekday shifts: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with preference for coverage on Thursdays and Fridays Weekend shifts: Every other Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM This contract opportunity offers a consistent schedule providing the stability and challenge to apply your retail pharmacy skills within a hospital community setting.
